Because of the nature of the work, the highest standard of photographic excellence and maintaining of the one-hundred year traditional wet process in a photographic lab studio, Nicholas A. Price guarantees the client a masterful piece of art as well as a fine art photograph, created on silver gelatin paper.

There are many works in the archives that are a single edition from two, that were printed on papers that are now extinct. A select number of these are avaialble for acquisition upon request.

From the initial development of the film to the creation of prints, the darkroom process and gold standards held by Master photographer Nicholas A. Price, allows complete control over the medium.

The Nicholas A. Price Archives contains thousands of film negatives in predominantly black and white with select projects undertaken with color film.

 

As a collector of a Nicholas A. Price photograph, you become the custodian not only of a one of a kind photograph, but also an important part of an American story and history.

 

The photograph you acquire is GUARANTEED the following:

• The photograph has been printed directly from a FILM negative in the artist's photo lab.

• No digital manipulation has been applied whatsoever.

• It is a true back and white photograph HAND PRINTED personally by Nicholas A. Price (unless a larger print over and above the available papers in his lab is required by the client)

• Due to the unique nature and exclusivity of the project undertaken, the photograph comes from a collection which cannot ever be replicated by another photographer EVER.

• Is a single edition or a limited edition of only two prints of its kind.

• Is numbered AND signed by the Nicholas A. Price himself.

• Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity bearing the artist's exclusive seal AND is documented and photographed for authenticity, verification and insurance purposes. This information is held by the Nicholas Price Family Trust and Museum Archives.

Prices

With over 35 years’ experience, Nicholas has spent years documenting the American people, culture, economic, engineering and other achievements and its trials and tribulations using his unique style and highly technical skills all through the lens of his manual film cameras. Some of the most important photographic commissions and projects that were created on film in this single artist's style have never or have rarely been, duplicated by another single photographer.

Price points of each acquisition takes into account the subject, the collection, the paper used, the print process and final presentation of the work (framed or unframed).

Price's begin at US$1500 per print and can range upwards of US$5000.

Acquisition's of specific collections for corporations and institutions are also considered and advised on a case by case basis.
